About the project
The project is a multi-storey office building in the city of Athens in Greece. It is located on a plot that is served by a major high- speed avenue and a variety of bus lines. The tram and metro station are at a walking distance. A double height colonnade is introduced at ground floor level to connect the main entrance to the surrounding streets. The colonnade provides shading and cover when walking towards the entrances of the two buildings. The building has a four-storey basement that is used for parking space, MEP areas and storage.
Main parameters of the design were the efficient use of energy, water, and other resources. To avoid pollution and waste and choosing materials with criteria to be toxic, sustainable and including recycled content.
Indoor environmental quality, was of high concern during both design and construction of the building. It has been designed to deliver more than 30% additional fresh air into the regularly occupied areas, than required by regulations, including daylight and views and healthy materials. Clean air is obtained from the building roof, additionally filtered with G4 and F7 filters.
