Whole Life Carbon Roadmap for Greece
Advancing Decarbonization in Greece’s Built Environment
Earlier this week, Beyond Sustainability was invited to participate in the Validation Workshop for the Zero Carbon and Climate Resilience Readiness Framework, held in Athens.
The workshop brought together voices from across the construction and real estate value chain — finance, academia, private sector, and civil society — to co-design the next steps toward a Whole Life Carbon Roadmap for Greece.
Having previously contributed to the national survey, it was incredibly rewarding to see our input help shape the conversation on enabling actions and measurable KPIs for decarbonizing the built environment.
At Beyond Sustainability, we believe that tackling emissions in the building sector is one of the most impactful levers we have to fight climate change. Decarbonizing the building sector is not just a climate imperative—it’s an economic and social one. Contributing to this process is a reminder of how vital cross-sector collaboration is in shaping a truly sustainable and resilient future.
Buildings account for a significant portion of emissions, and transforming this sector is critical to meeting national and EU climate goals. At Beyond Sustainability, we believe in driving systemic change through measurable impact, informed collaboration, and strategic action for building a more sustainable, resilient, inclusive and regenerative future.
